Transfer printing is the term used to describe textile and related printing processes in which the design is first printed on to a flexible nontextile substrate and later transferred by a separate process to a textile. Its advantage is bright colors, fine layers, vivid patterns and good artistry.However, this process is only suitable for a few synthetic fibers such as polyester.
It is a printing technique where the dye of the fabric is removed through a chemical process that uses a special ink called discharge ink. Discharge ink works like bleach. Have you ever seen a garment with a design that looked like it was bleached out of the fabric? It’s likely that it was printed with discharge ink. Discharge prints are soft, and because no ink is added to the fabric, they don’t fade or wash out.
A cotton / polyester blended fabric can be printed with a print paste containing the burn out chemicals, and after fixation, the cotton portion is destroyed and only the polyester remains. Burn-out textiles is a technique used to develop raised designs on fabric surface. This is primarily being done in fabrics with at least 2 different fibre content i.e. Cotton-Polyester, Silk-Rayon etc.
Screen printing is a printing technique whereby a mesh is used to transfer ink onto a substrate, except in areas made impermeable to the ink by a blocking stencil. A blade or squeegee is moved across the screen to fill the open mesh apertures with ink, and a reverse stroke then causes the screen to touch the substrate momentarily along a line of contact. This causes the ink to wet the substrate and be pulled out of the mesh apertures as the screen springs back after the blade has passed. One color is printed at a time, so several screens can be used to produce a multicoloured image or design.
5）Rotary screen printing
The printing die is a cylindrical nickel screen with hollow-out pattern. It is mounted in a certain order above the rubber conduction band in circulation and can rotate synchronously with the guide band. When printing, the paste is input into the screen, stored in the bottom of the screen, and the circular screen rotates with the guide band. When the scrape knife and the mesh press tightly on the bottom of the screen, the scrape pressure occurs, and the color paste reaches the surface of the fabric through the pattern of the net. The printing of a circular screen is a continuous process. The production efficiency is high and has the advantages of roller and screen printing, but there are some limitations in pattern fineness and printing color intensity. 7）Water slurry printing
Suitable for printing on light-colored fabrics, is a relatively wide variety of printing. But it also has an advantage, because the comparison will not affect the original texture of the fabric, so it is more suitable for large-area printing pattern.
